JB-pageheader02

JB02My approach is simple, I try to be sensitive to each couple and who they are, and photograph them in a manner that reflects their unique personalities. Many years of experience have given me the skill and confidence to adapt to ever changing situations that arise on a wedding day. And that allows me to quietly witness and record events as they unfold.

The passion that has fueled my life in photography ignited at twelve, I saw an image of a cyclist riding along the Charles River, orange sunset, cyclist and lacey patterns of trees reflected dreamily on the water. It conveyed the emotions of being at that place; it awakened my senses and began my life-long study of art and led to formal training and art degrees from Colby-Sawyer College, Hallmark Institute of Photography and The University of Massachusetts.

Following several years managing a photographic portrait studio and acting as an administrator and teacher at a career photography school, my photographer husband Paul Turnbull and I  formed Turnbull/Boudreau Photographers. My specialties being wedding and travel-related stock and editorial photography; his being studio still life, travel illustration and editorial photography.

My photographs have been shown in a number of one-person and group exhibits and have been published in a wide variety of publications including Time, Elegant Weddings, Bon Appetit, Newsweek, Los Angeles Times Travel, Insight Travel Guide and Running Press Books. In addition, my commercial advertising clients include Smithsonian Institution, Gibson Greetings, Ford Motor Company, Territory Ahead and Ann Taylor.

Paul and I share office and work spaces in a converted 1800's Carriage House on our property.  Together we designed and hand built our current home, a passive solar timber frame contemporary structure, from locally harvested and milled wood.

Other passions of mine are cycling, gardening, cooking and I enjoy hand crafting unique greeting cards for friends and family. And, of course, it doesn't take too much incentive to get me to travel to new places.
